The deaths of multiple migrants in the Rio Grande this week highlights the perils facing those seeking to enter the U.S. via the southern land border by foot.

The administration has also set up migration resource centers to provide referrals to those seeking lawful asylum pathways, expanded refugee processing in the region and increased temporary work visas, as well as restarting the Central American Minors program .with other Western Hemisphere leaders that he said was"transforming" the approach to the issue.
