Less than 24 hours after he helped his team earn a point in a wide-open affair in South Florida, Reimer on Sunday once again gave the Sharks a chance to salvage something against a tough Eastern Conference opponent in the Hurricanes . The Sharks had Zach Sawchenko as Reimer’s backup at the moment as Adin Hill is unavailable with a lower-body injury. But Sawchenko has only played one NHL game, as he stopped 20 of 21 shots in relief of Reimer on Jan. 2 in an 8-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
