Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip are taking reservations starting May 1, the day after Nevada's statewide shutdown is due to end.

Now, major companies along the Strip – MGM Resorts, Caesars, Wynn and Las Vegas Sands – are taking reservations starting May 1. "This date is subject to change." Venetian spokesman Keith Salowski said in an email to the USA TODAY Network.
