. Back in 2008, little 13-year-old me would go to Macy's with my mom on Saturdays so she could pick up her beloved $200 value sets from the Lancôme counter for $45. The salesperson would end almost every transaction with "you qualify for a free gift with your purchase." My eyes would light up, and my fingers would be crossed behind my back, hoping the gift was a Lancôme Juicy Tubes lip gloss.
And that's how beauty editor Angela was born. You see, I wasn't always as into makeup as I am now. At my middle school, the Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shining Hydrating Lip Gloss was a staple in every girl's backpack, though. I remember taking it out during the seventh-grade dance while all my friends sang ". Juicy Tubes were obviously the perfect accessory for the occasion. Growing up, seeing who could collect all the shades first was truly a race.
On May 1, the Lancôme Juicy Tubes are making what I believe is the biggest comeback in beauty history. To celebrate 20 years since the launch of the iconic lip gloss, Lancôme is relaunching it in the classic shimmer and sparkle finish, as well as two new ones: jelly and creamy. Its shade range is also expanding to a whopping 20 options, a big jump from its original eight. I'm looking forward to trying out the Birthday Confetti and hoping it smells as good as it sounds.
