'Society is very unforgiving,' Nivens said. '... I'm talking to teachers, and they are just tired. People have become comfortable being mean and nasty.'
During Wednesday's school-focused meeting, Nivens called out behavior towards teachers he's seen from both parents and society.
Nivens presented emails he's received and social media posts he's seen that lambasted educators and the school system.
