Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said a 22-year-old nursing student who was allegedly murdered by an illegal migrant is dead, in part, because of President Joe Biden's open borders.while she was out for a jog in a wooded area at the University of Georgia on Feb. 22, according to authorities.

Cruz went on to say Ibarra was previously arrested in El Paso, Texas after the 26-year-old illegally crossed the border. "Had New York City put him in jail, that murderer would not have been in Georgia to beat Laken Riley to death," Cruz said. "But New York City let him go again. This revolving door happens over and over again."
