A leading Labour politician made no promises of extra money when she visited Telford on Friday.
Labour's Lisa Nandy was visiting Telford - seen here with council leader Shaun Davies
"We will be thinking more creatively as the next Labour government," she said."I came to see some of the pioneering work Telford & Wrekin Council are doing." And she was also finding out more about how the council's wholly owned housing company Nuplace builds and manages homes for private rent across the borough.
Ms Nandy had many words of praise for Councillor Davies who is seeking to become an MP at the next General Election, and for the people of Telford. "We have had 13 years of no economic growth and front loaded cuts to public services. We have had a decade of decay and decline."
