Kyle McKearney, The Royal Foundry, ANNIKA and Jennie Harluk lead the nominations for the YYC Music Awards
The YYC Music Awards Foundation announced the nominees in 27 categories earlier this week. McKearney is up for five awards, including country recording of the year for Mercy, music video of the year and songwriter of the year for Whispering Pines, single of the year for Mercy and solo artist of the year. The Royal Foundry are up for five awards as well, including group of the year and alternative recording of the year for Little High Little Low.
Jennie Harluk got the nod for pop recording of the year for Mess of Me and songwriter of the year for I Don’t Get Angry. She is also up for solo artist of the year. Fans can vote for the People’s Choice Award until Aug. 7 at
