Kristen Davis got real about the stresses of aging on TV and she also talked about the difficulties she faced being compared to Sarah Jessica Parker.

“Sometimes, we look at each other’s faces and we cannot believe we’ve been together since 1997," she toldin an interview published Thursday."It’s not normal in our industry to have this longevity, and it’s very special."

"I can only speak for myself, but it can also be extremely stressful to be aging and to be compared to your much, much, much younger self," she said about"If I was from a regular life, I would feel fine; I would feel great! I’m healthy, I’m strong, I’ve got this little 3-year-old son, and I carry him around and it’s all good—but, no, I’m on television, where every bit of my physical being is analyzed," Davis continued.

To help her cope with"age stress," Davis found it helpful to surround herself with"calm" individuals like"And Just Like That..." creator Michael Patrick King.
