The Knights won Game 1 in the best-of-seven provincial major under-18 male hockey championship series 6-2.

“Some of the stuff at the end is completely unnecessary, and hopefully it’s not going to be a sign of things to come over the next couple of weeks, and there can be a handle put on top of that.” Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Knights forward Owen MacPherson, 22, attempts to get a stick on a rebound while teammate Thatcher Hughes, 12, and Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild defenceman Seamus MacEachern battle for position in front of goaltender George Gallant during Game 1 of the best-of-seven provincial major under-18 male hockey championship at MacLauchlan Arena in Charlottetown on March 7.
