Second-year guard Josh Primo has suffered a knee injury that will force him to miss the start of the preseason, the Spurs announced today.

The setback comes after Primo missed the last three Summer League games in Las Vegas after entering the NBA’s health and safety protocols. Primo was 18 when the Spurs drafted him 12th overall last season, making him the NBA’s youngest player for the 2021-22 campaign. After one year at Alabama, the Toronto native averaged 5.8 points and 1.6 assists per game over 50 contests.
