Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D'Onofrio says Kingpin fighting Spider-Man is his end goal for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now that Marvel Studios brought Vincent D'Onofrio back as Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye, his Marvel villain has a renewed future with the shared universe. He is currently confirmed to appear in two upcoming Disney+ MCU shows, Echo and Daredevil: Born Again.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Vincent D'Onofrio appeared at Salt Lake FanX 2022 earlier this year and participated in a Q&A with those who attended his panel, and Kingpin fighting Spider-Man came up. At one point, the Daredevil: Born Again star was asked which MCU character he most wants to see Kingpin fight.
This could mean that Kingpin's roles in Echo and Daredevil: Born Again build up to him being the main villain in Spider-Man 4. It is no secret that Vincent D'Onofrio has long wanted to see his Wilson Fisk fight Tom Holland's Spider-Man on the big screen. While it seemed unlikely during his original tenure with Daredevil on Netflix, Marvel Studios bringing him back in a significant way re-opened the door.
It remains to be seen if Vincent D'Onofrio will get his wish to fight Spider-Man, whether that comes in Spider-Man 4 or somewhere else. However, it was recently confirmed that Sony and Marvel Studios share Kingpin's rights. The news could be another sign that if Wilson Fisk is going to return to the big screen after Daredevil: Born Again, it might have to come in a Sony co-production like Spider-Man 4.
