King Charles has sent an emotional message to the President of Greece to express his sorrow over an “appalling” train crash in the country
.
King Charles expressed his and Queen Consort Camilla’s sadness over the accident in a letter to Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou. “During our visits to Greece we have always been struck by the kindness and generosity of the Greek people and our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with all those who have been affected by this appalling tragedy.”Greece holds a special place in the King’s heart as his father, Prince Philip, was born there into Greek and Danish royal families.
According to reports, the King wants the Duke and Duchess of Sussex out of Frogmore Cottage before his Coronation in May.
