Love has been out of the rotation since Jan. 24 as he has been in the midst of the worst season of his career in terms of scoring. He struggled to shoot the ball well as he dealt with a fractured thumb. He is averaging a career-low 8.5 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 38.9% from the field. He is also shooting 35.4% from 3-point range, his worst percentage since the 2012-13 season with the Timberwolves.
Love was the last piece of the 2016 championship team still on the roster. He signed a four-year contract worth about $120 million prior to the 2018-19 season. The Cavaliers acquired him prior to the 2014-15 season after LeBron James chose to return to Cleveland. He played 489 games for the Cavs and averaged 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds.
