Exactly three years after leaving Warriors, Kevin Durant gives Nets trade request
Three years to the day that Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets, he is ready to be done in Brooklyn.
Multiple media reports just before noon Pacific on Thursday, said Durant requested a trade from the Nets earlier Thursday and has listed the Phoenix Suns as “a preferred trade destination,” according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. Among the various teams interested in making a move for Durant include the Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat and likely several more. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Phoenix and Miami are seen as “among two of the teams that Kevin Durant has on his wish list,” and Oakland native Damian Lillard has recently posted photoshopped images of himself and Durant in Blazers uniforms.
