While some Twitter users initially thought fans were using the hashtag seriously, others quickly realized what was going on and began praising the K-pop fandom.
"K-Pop fans completely hijacking the #WhiteLivesMatter hashtag makes me so proud," one person tweeted. "#WhiteLivesMatter LMAO I WAS READY TO INSULT THE S--- OUT OF EVERYONE," wrote another."THEN I SAW THAT K-POP STANS ARE DESTROYING THE [hashtag], DAMN NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE THAT HAPPY SEEING K-POP FANCAM."
While another posted,"Imagine trying to trend #WhiteLivesMatter like a typical racist and Kpop fans said 'Not on my watch b----" Most of the posts from K-pop fans include an anti-racist message along with a video of their favorite K-pop stars."kpop stans ruining every white supremacist hashtag. i truly love to see it," tweeted one person.Others trolled the hashtag even further by literally posting photos of products like"White Out"-flavored Mountain Dew and Wite-Out Quick Dry Correction Fluid.
