In Mississauga, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford make an announcement and take questions from reporters. They are joined by federal ministers Jean-Yves Duclos and Kamal Khera , and provincial ministers Sylvia Jones and Vic Fedeli . The news conference comes one week after the federal government announced it had reached an agreement in principle with Ontario on a new health-care deal.

The meeting comes after they concluded Ontario’s part in a new 10-year arrangement that will boost the share of federal funding for health care. Earlier this month, the provincial and territorial leaders accepted Trudeau’s $46.2-billion proposal to boost Ottawa’s contribution to the 13 health-care systems across the country.
