Earth's heroes have struggled to stay afloat, reeling from the relentless depletion of their ranks and the recent loss of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude in Absolute Power #2. These mounting setbacks weigh heavily on the heroes in issue #3 as they face the daunting challenge of fighting back without their powers: Cue Nightwing and Green Lantern–the Justice League’s new weapon dealers, poised to turn the tide.
After narrowly escaping the Fortress of Solitude, the heroes face the grim reality of their situation: how can they possibly fight Waller without their powers? Nightwing steps in, prompting Hal to disclose that they now possess the full range of rogue weapons previously held in the Justice League’s storage. He lists off formidable items like a cold gun, a weather wand, and a lightning axe, showcasing the array of tools now at their disposal.
In addition to the heroes gathered behind Nightwing, Yara Flor and Aquaman are seen putting their newly acquired weapons to effective use. The two heroes board a battleship to rescue an asset named John Starr. Their mission leads them into a confrontation with Bizarro, whom Yara temporarily holds off using her newly acquired weather wand. Meanwhile, Aquaman rummages through his sack of weapons, searching for a more permanent solution.
