She actively engaged in the Alaska commercial fishing industry for salmon, herring roe, and halibut prior to her practice of law.was born and raised in Dzantik’i Heeni , where she makes her home. She is Stó꞉lō and Tlingít/Kaagwaantaan and a child of the Lukaax̱.ádi.
