WASHINGTON—A federal judge questioned Trump administration arguments that former White House counsel Don McGahn enjoys absolute immunity from having to testify in a congressional investigation of President Trump.
In a Thursday hearing lasting nearly four hours, U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson repeatedly pressed the Justice Department, which is seeking to reject a subpoena the Democratic-led House Judiciary Committee issued to Mr. McGahn in May.
