Armoni Inn and Suites can’t house migrants at their hotel – at least for now – after Orangetown officials brought them to court.

A judge halted a Rockland County hotel from accepting migrants bused from New York City by issuing a temporary restraining order on Tuesday.

The hotel staff had no comment Tuesday and the hotel owner could not be reached for comment. No migrants were at the hotel Tuesday night.Armoni Inn and Suites can’t house migrant from NYC for now, a judge said.The Acting Department of Social Services Commissioner Molly Park said during a City Council hearing Monday the city-run busing program would begin this week.

Before Orangetown’s legal action, Rockland County Executive Ed Day declared a state of emergency over the weekend in an effort to stop the halt of asylum seekers.late Monday that would prohibit hotels, motels and other short-term rentals from allowing migrants to stay there.
