TV personality and judge Greg Mathis, best known for his hosting gig on the reality courtroom drama 'Judge Mathis,' has been tapped to host the upcoming series 'Mathis Court with Judge Mathis.'
The series, a daily one-hour strip, is set to premiere this fall and will be available to “broadcast television stations, as well as global network, cable and digital distribution platforms.”
Allen Media Group produces seven other courtroom-based series, including “America’s Court with Judge Ross,” “Justice For All with Judge Cristina Perez,” “We the People with Judge Lauren Lake” and “Equal Justice with Judge Eboni K. Williams,” the latter of which is also slated to premiere in the fall.
The cancellation of"Judge" coincided with the axing of “The People’s Court,” hosted by Marilyn Milian. The syndicated Warner Bros. TV programs feature Mathis and Milian, respectively, as they preside over disagreeing parties with situations to be settled by binding arbitration in a courtroom set. The current season of"Judge Mathis" was filmed in 2022. In November, Mathis celebrated the season's final days by dancing to The Jackson 5's"Dancing Machine" in court attire.
