The comedian was in peak form Friday as he needled Dahm about his support of legislation that loosens gun restrictions. “You're saying more guns makes us more safe,” Stewart said early on. “So when? We’ve got 4 million guns in the country. We had an increase and gun deaths went up.
“You’re bringing chaos to order,” Stewart said at one point. “We have 50,000 gun-related deaths. That’s not a subjective opinion. As he put it at another point during their discussion, “You want to say ‘I’m a Second Amendment purist and I’m making it safer.’ You're not. You’re making it more chaotic, and that’s not a matter of opinion. That’s the truth.”
