Reeves joked about Winston shooting Wick after everything the pair had been through, to which Stahelski pointed out that Winston intentionally aimed at the assassin's bulletproof suit, knowing he would survive.

Alongside Reeves' Wick and Lance Reddick's Charon, Winston is one of the John Wick franchise's most recognizable faces. As such, many viewers were shocked by the character's sudden actions against Wick, whom audiences assumed he was allied with in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum's conclusion, leaving viewers to question his true motives.
