John W. Henry insists Fenway Sports Group maintains its commitment to Liverpool LFC
John W. Henry insists that Fenway Sports Group maintains its commitment to Liverpool amid their exploration of investment in the club.need to remain sensible in their spending as they approach a huge summer transfer window. It was reported a full sale of the club was explored by Liverpool’s owners in November, although these have been denied by Henry.
“Investment in the club is never for the short-term. This approach has been successful over the long haul with patience necessary from time to time.” Liverpool have struggled on the pitch this season, and many believe they will need to invest heavily on new players before the new campaign.“We continue building at Liverpool Football Club in a responsible manner. We’ve seen many football clubs go down unsustainable paths,” Henry continued.
“These are all physical reflections of our resolve and how very seriously Fenway Sports Group takes its responsibilities for this great club.”
