At least one man remains in custody at this time
Police investigating the attempted murder of DCI John Caldwell have tonight released a number of men unconditionally.
It's understood at least one man was still in custody and can be held until tomorrow. On Sunday night, the typed statement was taped to a wall near shops in the Creggan estate in Derry, with police forensic teams removing it on Monday. Police have also released CCTV footage of a a blue Ford Fiesta, registration Number MGZ 6242, which was the car used by the gunmen. Meanwhile, a reward of up to £20,000 from Crimestoppers is offered for information given directly to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the attempted murder of DCI Caldwell.For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here.
