Meanwhile Biden is gearing up for a potential 2020 presidential run. And recent polling shows him as a strong favorite among Democratic primary voters, in terms of both name recognition and confidence in his ability to beat President Donald Trump in a head to head matchup. But other Democratic candidates, who could end up being key rivals in a heated 2020 primary, have chosen not weigh on the unflattering headlines for Biden.
