Government funding grants will provide Collège Boréal students full, upfront funding for tuition, books and other direct educational costs for eligible students in priority communities

Students interested in a career as a paramedic can do so for free starting next September, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant. To receive the grant, students must commit to work in the region where they studied for a minimum of six months for every year of study funded by the grant. Funding will be converted to a repayable loan if certain conditions are not satisfied.

Note that the Practical Nursing program is admissible to the Learn and Stay Grant at the Hearst, Kapuskasing, Nipissing, Sudbury, Timmins, and Windsor campuses, while the Paramedic program is also admissible at the Sudbury campus. “By choosing Collège Boréal, our students open themselves up to particularly attractive opportunities made possible by the quality of our programs,” said Daniel Giroux, Collège Boréal President. “If you are motivated by a desire to pursue a career in nursing or paramedic care, there is no better time to take advantage of these recognized and accredited programs to quickly enter the bilingual job market.
