Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh had a strange moment in the second quarter of Thursday night's win over the Patriots.
There wasn’t much drama on the field between the Jets and Patriots on Thursday night, as Aaron Rodgers led the Jets to a dominant 24-3 win over their division rival in their home opener.
But there seemed to be something brewing between Rodgers and coach Robert Saleh in the second quarter after the Jets scored a touchdown to give them a 14-0 lead over New England. An exuberant Saleh approached Rodgers, apparently looking for a hug. Instead, the coach was rebuffed, with Rodgers stopping Saleh with both hands and delivering a short, seemingly stern message to his coach.
Saleh’s version of events, told a few moments earlier in the interview room, matched up with Rodgers’. “Oh, yeah,” Saleh said, laughing when the moment was brought up. “Part of the things that we’ve been talking about is to just get the defense a two-score lead.
