A Georgia woman who reportedly met a man on a dating app stole his truck during their first date before leading authorities on a wild high-speed chase that was captured on video.
Coweta County Sheriff's OfficeJenifer Lee Gray was dubbed"the date from hell."Jenifer Lee Gray allegedly stole the truck while her date was in the bathroom.While a patrol deputy was en route to the incident location, a member of the sheriff’s office Field Operations spotted the stolen vehicle on Welcome Rd. He was able to catch up to the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop on Temple Ave, Nix also told Fox News Digital.
A member of the sheriff’s office’s H.E.A.T. Unit standing by on the interstate was able to get a successful hit with “stop sticks” on the offender vehicle as it passed the 53 I-85 N mile marker, Nix said. Members of the Crime Suppression Unit caught up with the pursuit and were able to perform a PIT Maneuver on the offender vehicle.
Gray was taken into custody and transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital for an evaluation before being moved to Coweta County Jail on charges of theft by taking and fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer.
