Time is ticking for a Toronto Blue Jays fan to claim their massive $3M jackpot. After 6 months, the prize will be donated.
That eye-popping dollar figure is the grand prize in the “Amazing April” lottery event, which awarded other prizes to early bird winners, including Jays’ memorabilia and prime seats at Rogers Centre.
Once the winner has claimed their prize, sports broadcaster Hazel Mae will also give them a congratulatory call, said the [email protected] a statement to the Star, the foundation said if the prize hasn’t been claimed within six months, it will be cashed out as a donation to the Jays Care Foundation.
The foundation said the winner purchased batch of 250 raffle tickets for $100, in the stadium on April 11 from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Last fall, a Kitchener man took home a $3.9 million prize — the largest 50/50 jackpot total in MLB history, the foundation said.
