British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s restaurant group has collapsed, putting the jobs of 1,300 staff at threat

"I am deeply saddened by this outcome and would like to thank all of the staff and our suppliers who have put their hearts and souls into this business for over a decade. I appreciate how difficult this is for everyone affected," said Oliver in a statement. Oliver, famous for the Naked Chef TV show and campaigning for healthier school meals, closed 12 restaurant locations in 2018 and injected £13 million of his own money to keep the group afloat.
