James Martin tells 'TV dad' Brian Turner he loves him in return after stroke
James Martin’s Saturday Morning viewers were left in tears after a touching moment with his "TV dad" Brian Turner. The ITV show host James Martin told 76-year-old chef he loves him as Brian gave an update about his health following a stroke last year.
The former Ready Steady Cook regular explained: "Well, unfortunately I had a stroke in June last year and the people at the London hospital were fantastic and helpful. So, excuse me if I just make a stammer occasionally, but we will catch up at the end."James responded: "It's OK, it's OK. I love you fella." He then asked those in the studio for a round of applause and added: "It's a pleasure to have you back.
Lorraine Hancock wrote: "So so lovely to see Brian back with his TV son. Those man hugs made me tear up! All the best to you Chef Turner." Joanne Lane tweeted: "Lovely to see Brian, your relationship is so special. Always a smile in adverse circumstances." Angie Coates added: "Lovely to see Brian and the dish looked tasty. You could see and feel the love and respect you have for each other."
