James Gunn has confirmed one classic DC character who will appear in Superman: Legacy, as he plans to include Jimmy Olsen. The writer and director of the first DC Universe movie has the responsibility of relaunching Superman after Zack Snyder's take on the character played by Henry Cavill. Details on Superman: Legacy are still sparse, but it is known that it will not be an origin story for Clark Kent.
Jimmy Olsen is a classic DC character in Superman stories who is Clark Kent's best friend and a photographer at the Daily Planet. He was previously played by Marc McClure in Richard Donner's Superman franchise, Sam Huntington in Superman Returns, and Michael Cassidy in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Jimmy Olsen now becomes the second DC character officially confirmed to be in Superman: Legacy, joining the Man of Steel.
