In addition to the jail sentence, MacKinnon, along with defence lawyers Dan MacDonald and Allan Stanwick, also recommended a lifetime weapons prohibition and the forfeiture of all drugs and cash seized along with providing a DNA sample to the national registry.MacDonald told the court that his client entered the drug dealing business as a means to support his family.
