Jacksonville International on track for major construction projects
Jacksonville International Airport is in the midst of multiple large-scale improvement projects, with ground expected to be broken for Concourse B later this year.
The massive endeavor is moving ahead on schedule, according to Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Mark VanLoh, who said he expects the project will break ground later this year. “Checkpoint reconfiguration is like changing the oil of your car while you’re driving it,” said VanLoh. “We’re operating an existing airport. We have minimal time to get in there and really do a lot of construction activity while passengers are here.”
