Once destined for demolition, the historic library is now part of the Central Park Place development and the centerpiece around which the retail/residential complex has been built.
“They gravitated toward the Nichols Library because of the unique architecture, the unique outdoor seating and the downtown location,” Caton Kitchel said. “Definitely the patio is really neat having it there, where we’ll have almost 100 seats for outdoor seating,” he said. Goewey said they’re in the process of obtaining permits from the city of Naperville, but declined to offer any details on what the restaurant will look like with a new interior design.
