The corner building at 101 E. Main St. dates to at least the early 1800s and over the years has served in one capacity or another as a gathering spot. For decades, it has been synonymous with a bar, from the Lamp Post Inn to Black Horse Tavern and Old Coaly Pub & Grill House.
While there’s still a bar, it’s no longer the focus. They removed pool tables and created a dining room. Noticing plenty of pizza shops and bars operate in Middletown, Smart said they chose the Italian theme for a reason.Bruno’s menu features traditional Italian dishes including fried calamari and thin-crust pizzas with imported meats and cheeses and homemade sauces. Pastas and large plates include chicken parmigiana and fettuccine alfredo with jumbo lump crab.
While there’s no formal kids menu, he said they offer several options, including pizza, chicken tenders and pasta.
