Why Nintendo Needs To Ditch The Switch
But mostly, the Switch is simply starting to show its age, and it’s aged fast thanks to lackluster horsepower out the proverbial gates. When the Switch came out in 2017, several years after the release of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it was already underpowered. Even compared to those aging systems, the Switch underperformed. The Xbox One X and PS4 Pro made the Switch look even less impressive.Fast forward a few years.
There is some hope that a Nintendo Switch Pro is in the offing, and could offer considerably boosted internal specs. Now I wonder if that’s such a great idea. For one thing, the Nintendo Switch Lite is very good at being a handheld that doesn’t dock to your TV but plays all the Switch games perfectly fine in handheld mode only.
