Stunning concept art from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever shows Riri Williams' Ironheart armor in all its glory. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever introduced viewers to Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams, better known to comic book readers as Ironheart.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Artist Phil Saunders has taken to Facebook to share concept art of Riri's final armor. As he explains, the armor seen in the film itself features various attachments that give it a very different look and color scheme, presumably boosting its offensive functionality for the battle against the Talokanil.
Riri Williams may have had her own armor, but it's important to remember she was not combat-trained - unlike other Wakandans who participated in the final battle against the Talokanil, with some even wearing their own Midnight Angel exo-armors. This meant Ironheart was always particularly vulnerable. For all her considerable firepower , she would have been more likely to make rookie mistakes that left her targeted by Namor's warriors.
It will be interesting to see how Riri Williams develops her armor in the MCU going forward. Marvel has already commissioned an Ironheart Disney+ TV show, meaning it's only a matter of time before she suits up. She no longer has access to Wakanda's precious Vibranium, but she'll surely have picked up some tips and tricks from her time with Shuri. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has therefore set up an Ironheart 3.
