In a first look at December's X-Men #29, a surprise Marvel villain has developed a secret weapon capable of destroying Iron Man!

Iron Man has built a variety of armors over the years, each one virtually indestructible. His armors have withstood the depths of the ocean and the vacuum of space.
Marvel provided a first look at X-Men #29, which will be written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Joshua Cassara. The five-page, unlettered preview shows Doctor Doom training his new team of X-Men, formed in the wake of Orchis’ attack on the Hellfire Gala. Doom shows them various weapons, including a large gun that destroys an actual Iron Man suit in a matter of seconds. After slicing the armor up, a satisfied Doom turns to his new team, ready for battle.
Iron Man and Doctor Doom Are Not Huge Rivals...Yet Close While Doctor Doom is not one of Iron Man’s traditional foes, the two have fought on occasion. Recently, Iron Man became an ally to Earth’s mutant population, who were nearly destroyed by the fascist anti-mutant organization Orchis. Orchis’ tech is partially based around Stark designs they appropriated, including the Stark Sentinels.
