Joe Biden asked audience at an event in New Hampshire to 'imagine what would have happened if, God forbid, Barack Obama had been assassinated'
HANOVER, N.H. — Joe Biden’s campaign wanted to make Friday a celebration of the time Barack Obama chose him as his running mate.
Heading into the speech on Friday, Biden’s campaign was touting the Aug. 23 anniversary of how Obama chose him as his vice presidential running mate in 2008. “I have one hero who was my dad, but I have two political heroes ... Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy,” Biden said. “My senior semester they were both shot and killed."
