The cause of the blaze is being looked into by the police and fire service.
A joint-investigation has been launched into a fatal fire at a multi-storey flat in Cardonald that claimed the life of Tommy Sheridan's mum, Alice.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a 'dwelling fire' at around 7.49pm on March 12. Four fire appliances and one aerial appliance were sent to the scene.Firefighters extinguished the flames but sadly, Alice passed away at the scene. A spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a fire at a property on Invergyle Drive in Glasgow around 7.55pm on Sunday, 12 March, 2023. Emergency services attended and an 84-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tommy Sheridan this morning announced his mum had died in the flat fire and said he was 'heartbroken'.
