'InstagramDown' trends as users tweet about Instagram and Facebook outages
On Twitter, Instagram addressed the issue and noted that they are trying to fix it."We're aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook's family of apps, including Instagram. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible," the company tweeted.
Instagram's parent company, Facebook, also faced issues Thursday morning. Down Detector showed over 9,000 reports of problems for the social network. In frustration, many users took to Twitter to voice their issues with the app being down. The hashtag"#Instagramdown" trended as users both complained and joked about not being able to access their social networks, while others praised Twitter for simply not going down.
Weâre aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebookâs family of apps, including Instagram. Weâre working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
