Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange led the battle against Thanos on Titan after Black Order member Ebony Maw abducted the latter in an effort to claim the Time Stone. Joined by the Guardians of the Galaxy, the heroes put up a good fight against Thanos but were eventually incapacitated. Interestingly, however, one hero seemed to rumble Thanos more than the others, as Iron Man marked the last stand against the Mad Titan, yet he was saved by Strange giving up his coveted Infinity Stone.
Thanos Was Going To Use 4 Infinity Stones To Kill Iron Man After Thanos and Iron Man's brawl on Titan in Avengers: Infinity War, Tony Stark found himself stabbed by the Mad Titan and seconds from death as Thanos prepared to use his already-collected Infinity Stones on the armored Avenger. While Doctor Strange's intervention spared Stark's life, Reddit user redvelts pointed out that Thanos was readying all four Infinity Stones to land the final blow to Iron Man.
This hints at just how dangerous Thanos considered Tony Stark, as he may have thought Stark could have more tricks up his sleeve to survive the Mad Titan's attack. Iron Man had been the only member of the Avengers that Thanos had recognized on Titan, proving that the events of previous MCU projects had made an impact.
Why Did Thanos Fear & Respect Stark More Than The Other Avengers? The fact that Thanos feared, and perhaps respected, Iron Man more than any other Avenger can be explained by looking back at the MCU's history. Back in 2012's The Avengers, Thanos sent Loki and his Chitauri army to Earth, but Tony Stark was the hero who ended this battle by flying a missile through the portal, decimating Thanos' forces on the other side.
