ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A local non-profit that assists intellectually disabled people and their families across the province is speaking up in support of a recent report indicating children with complex medical needs could be left without caregivers within the next decade.
"With the aging population in our province, these issues must be a top priority where we work together to find solutions in the now, or more pressure will be placed on an already struggling healthcare infrastructure, and families will continue being left behind,” said Pike in the statement.
