Pechanga Arena has been the site of some excellent boxing action that last few months and area fight fans can see some more today when Joseph Diaz faces William Zepeda in a scheduled 12-round lightweight bout .
A victory in this intriguing battle of southpaws would put Diaz right back in line for a potential title shot in the near future. Zepeda had a 15-fight knockout streak snapped when he had to go the distance to outpoint Rene Alavarado in his most recent fight. The 34-year-old Lomachenko did not see combat and was able to train but has not fought since earning a unanimous decision victory over Richard Commey on Dec. 11.
