Linda Bersey grew up in a large Catholic family in West Orange as one of eight children with five sisters. Now 61 and living at the Jersey Shore, she was sent by her father, Thomas Collinson, to Lourdes back in 2016.
“My father was concerned about my health,” said Bersey, who took along her older sister, Patty Palko, now 66. Palko had been especially close to Bersey as she navigated her various medical appointments.
