Latest data trends continue to be very consistent from what we've been forecasting for many days. The arctic cold blast arrives first and you'll notice the change overnight to Sunday morning. Those out Sunday morning will need to be ready for wind chill temperatures in the teens to low 20s at times. A COLD WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for our area. We'll see a cold, sunny day Sunday only in the 40s.
As a system gradually develops along the deep South Texas coast and an upper low approaches from the west, moisture will gradually pump into the area and the cloud deck will thicken. By Monday evening, isolated pockets of a very light icy mix may develop. Travel Monday evening especially late evening should be careful on bridges, overpasses or flyovers if a light mix has occurred.
