Matt Hancock has officially touched down in Australia for I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2022, amid a huge furore over his decision to sign up for the ITV show.
As well as being stripped of the party whip, campaigners for families bereaved in the Covid-19 pandemic accused him of trying to “cash in on his terrible legacy”. One Tory MP described Mr Hancock as an “absolute prat”, while there was also anger in his constituency Tory association. The stars – whose jungle arrivals were confirmed with official pictures released on Halloween – are currently hold up in an Aussie hotel and in quarantine.
